BLOG TOUR - Violet Storm by Anna Soliveres

Violet Storm by Anna Soliveres
(Modi #1)
Publication date: March 28th 2014
Genres: Science Fiction, Young Adult

Several hundred years into the future, The Cleansing, known to some as the End of Days, forced the government to create Arks to shelter its people. When Earth became habitable again, new territories rose up from the ashes: Agria, the City of Light, and the Outer Boundaries. For a while, they lived in peace.

A brilliant surgeon known for his invention of Modi’s—the only cure for the deadly disease, vaincre—has gone rogue with his experiments, and the Monarchy is desperate to shut him down. That’s where Aeva Storm comes in, a champion athlete with an ego to match. Aeva is the surgeon’s secret weapon against the Monarchy. And they’ll never know what hit them. After reconstructing her body to become a Modi unlike any he’s ever created, Aeva is forced into a fight against all odds. She’ll have to break loyalties, hurt family, and turn her back on newly awakened love. Thousands of lives hang in the balance in a battle that will set forth a new era.

Join Aeva on her quest to see whether she’s got what it takes to go up against the most powerful humans ever created.

A frightening futuristic world. My imagination was ignited with every turn of the page. I literally felt the need to just read through because my need to know what happened next was just too much. As much as I wanted to make it an all nighter I couldn't help my tired eyes stay alert. I slept dreaming of this world that the author created.

Aeva is strong intelligent and atheletic but she definitely has her work cut out for her. This is really a good read for a first time author. I was completely impressed and look forward to reading more from Anna Soliveres!

I loved alot of this book and was only mildly agitated at some things. Nothing that could not be overlooked and still enjoy the storyline. The storyline that happened to be fabulous and very well written. I got lost fairly easy in it and that's always a plus! It was action packed for sure and definitely worth every second! The plot was great, storyline solid. My imagination was fully engaged and that is always a great sign!

I love a good strong female lead and Aeva fit the bill perfectly! I liked that she knew that she was the best and carried herself that way but was humble when it was important making her easily likable and relatable. This book picked up pace and had me reeling and clinging to every word. Right up until the very end. I am totally going to need book 2 ASAP!!
There's alot going opn in this book but not too much to follow. You find yourself immersed, fully engaged and easily lost in this epic read! Keep an eye on Anna Soliveres y'all. I see nothing but great things!

I definitely think that this read was a very good and unique sci-fi and even dystopian read!!
